Sustainable Rural Development

Agriculture

SEBG played an important role in ensuring the tenanted sector was protected during the passage of the Agricultural Holdings Act 2003 and recommended the creation of a representative body (the Tenant Farming Forum, TFF) to ensure the sector had a voice as the changes were discussed and developed in Parliament.

TFF has been the prime vehicle for the implementation of the legislation and it continues today as the main route for constructive dialogue between the Scottish Executive and the agricultural let sector.
