- More than ever before, estates are developing business solutions such as joint ventures with local businesses and support and encourage the development of small businesses.
- Estates are active in social issues such as affordable housing where they are often the largest private providers of rented homes.
- Estates are also increasingly confirming the important role they play in Scotland’s tourism sector by developing facilities such as golf courses and attractions to complement outstanding built and natural heritage.
SEBG promotes and widens understanding of the role played by progressive estates in Scotland’s rural areas. Members are committed to engaging with policy and decision makers at every level as well as developing relationships with rural organisations and countryside interests.
